About

Born in Baltimore, MD, DJ Ladee Elle is known to keep the dance floor packed with her diverse mix of music and smooth transitions.  Her non-conventional style & ability to seamlessly play any genre of music is what sets her apart from the average DJ.  Additionally, her musicianship and knowledge of sound engineering are assets that enhance her professionalism and versatility.  She’s not only a music lover and musician, but an expert in her craft of DJing.

Ladee Elle’s love of music began at a very young age.  Her musical building blocks include R&B such as Motown and Michael Jackson from her parents; and Rap such as Rob Bass and NWA from her siblings.  Elle expanded her interests while attending Baltimore Polytechnic Institute (Poly) where she was a percussionist in the marching band; playing the cymbals, bass drums, and quads.  She was co-president of the Poly Rap Club as well.  Ladee Elle also served as Choir Director and President of the Liturgical Dance Club at Ames Memorial United Methodist Church.

DJ Ladee Elle began her DJ career while attending Morgan State University under the mentorship of DJ 5 Starr with additional influences from DJ Nitro,

DJ Reddz, and DJ Quick Silva.  Soon after receiving a B.S. in Civil Engineering in 2006, Elle formed a business partnership with DJ Phaze.  She routinely plays at Madams Organ in Washington, DC; does special events for Macys Department Stores throughout Maryland; and creates special moments at weddings, birthday parties, concerts, corporate events, and all other extraordinary occasions.  She has performed in various venues from New York City to Montego Bay, Jamaica and has djed on the Color Run course in Baltimore.  Ladee Elle was also a member of The Anti All-Girl [Rock] Band Mzery Loves Company who performed throughout Maryland, Washington, DC, and New York.  Over the years, Elle’s musical palate has broadened exponentially.  Listen to her set for an hour and you could hear Prince, Tupac, Beyonce, and Lady Antebellum!

In addition to djing, DJ Ladee Elle works at CBS Radio Baltimore as a board operator and producer for the Maryland Terrapin Radio Network, Baltimore Orioles Radio Network Sports Radio, and CBS Sports Radio 1300 AM.  Her previous radio credits include co-hosting the late night half of The Friday Night Jazz Club; co-hosting and djing The Audio Infusion; and djing on Strictly Hip-Hop on WEAA 88.9 FM in Baltimore.
